Underwater Adventures
Snorkeling is one of the top reasons people visit St. John and with close to 20 beaches to explore, with each new beach comes a new adventure. From a shallow entry and calm waters at Maho Bay, to the underwater snorkel trail at world famous Trunk Bay to lesser known beaches such as Hansen Bay and Brown Bay. Snorkeling allows you to explore a whole new world under the water where you can see a large variety of fish, sea turtles, coral reefs and more. When you’re done snorkeling, rent a paddle board or kayak or simply relax in a beach chair and take in the stunning views.

Visit Historical Sites
St. John is home to several historical sites, including the Annaberg Plantation which was one of 25 active sugar factories on island. Several ruin sites include remnants of slave quarters, sugar mills, boiling mechanisms and more. Many of these sites include interactive signage which explains the history as well as the flora and fauna of the area.
Take a Hike
Home to the US Virgin Islands National Park, St. John offers you hiking trails of various abilities. Grab a trail map at the park office and choose your hike for the day. Some of our favorites include the Ram Head Trail which passes by two distinct beaches with amazing views of the south eastern part of the island. We also enjoy the Reef Bay Trail, a sub tropical trail which can be explored via a ranger guided hike or all on your own. The trail ends at scenic Reef Bay where you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the ocean.
